❗️In the US, job seekers have declared war on AI hiring — a class action lawsuit has been filed

The core complaint: résumés are secretly scored on a scale from 1 to 5, and that score determines whether a person ever reaches a human recruiter or is automatically filtered out. Applicants can’t see their rating, don’t know why they were rejected, and have no way to appeal the decision.

The lawsuit was filed in California and cites violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and consumer protection laws. The case targets Eightfold AI, a service used by major companies to automatically scr
