🇺🇸 The Oscars just announced that AI performances and AI-written screenplays won't be eligible for nominations.

Apparently they had to say it out loud. The rule comes days after an AI-generated version of Val Kilmer was unveiled to cinema owners, recreating the late Top Gun star at different stages of his life using his personal archives.

The industry is already here, the Academy is just drawing the line before it gets any messier. Human creativity still gets the statue for now.
